In 2016 over a few beers, Stewart Gebbie and David Stanway discussed their passion for high quality, finely crafted food and drink.
Stewart, co-founder of Wellington’s Te Aro Brewing Co. talked about his dream of a bar that showcased the very best hand crafted beer, wine and spirits from NZ and around the world. He offered David the job of managing the place and David, having just learned his own bar’s building was about to be torn down, gratefully accepted.
